timeline on x axis

How can I show on a graph the most important dates on the X axis? My
company's financial calendar does not operate on the regualr calendar. We
use a 5 weeks in the beginning of the month then 4 weeks in month 2 & 3 to
consist as a whole quarter, so how can I pick up the last day of each month
end on the graph?

BTW, no matter which method you choose, you're going to need to do some
custom work to get what you want.
