Timed Slide Advance with Sound From File

Steve

I'm noticing that there is a problem for me in PPT 2002.
I require a theme song to play (mp3) that will play for
multiple slides, say 10. The slides should advance
automatically (they are timed). When the sound file is
selected to start at the beginning, it advances fine.
However, when the sound file is selected to begin after a
defined period (start from: XX) the first slide on which
the sound sits refuses to advance as timed. Is there
something wrong and is there a solution other than
editing the actual sound file? Thanks.

I've seen others with this same problem here in the group, and sorry, but I
don't have time to test it extensively right now.

You might try right-clicking the sound and choosing Edit Object to see if
changing the setting there helps. I doubt if it will, though; I think you'll
probably have to edit the actual sound file in a sound editor.

thanks. I guess I'll just count it as a loss.
