When I try to synchronize my computer clock with Internet Time (from
Control Panel) the following message appears: "An error occurred
while Windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com. The time
sample was rejected because: The peer's stratum is less than the
host's stratum." I have been using this technique for several years
and have not changed anything that I know of. I don't understand the
message - I don't know if I'm a peer, or a host, or maybe even a
stratum. Please respond in this forum - email address is fake.
Thanks.

This seems to be a problem since the DST patch was installed. It messed up
the default time servers somehow. Just put a different time server in the
box. I have been using "time.mit.edu" myself.
That one fixed it for me. There are lots of others. Do a google search for
time servers if you need others.

Thanks Bud. It worked for me.
