Time Display

Excel 2000 - When I entering a time in 24hr format the displayed number is
incorrect, for instance entering 16.30 returns 07.12.00, an eact hour e.g.
16.00 is returned as 00.00.00. Regional settings are set for 24hr clock
display but nothing I have tried will return the correct time.

Any advice would be welcome as it's driving me mad!

Try using ":" as seperator instead of "." on your time
entry.
