When I turn off my computer with Windows XP professional,
the time/date resets to an earlier date. I have done
upgraded virus scans; I have upgraded my bios; I have
restored my computer to an earlier time. Nothing seems to
work; does anyone have a hint about what might be the
problem?

Good idea but do you know of any software method to produce such a report of
BIOS settings?

No such software. At the time your BIOS is starting there is no operating
system loaded in memory, and consequently no software can run.

If you know exactly what to look for, you may be able to retrieve most of
the information contained in your BIOS by the System Information tool. But
it's so much faster to just copy down the information on the BIOS screens
with pen and paper.
