I bought my laptop to do work at home and display imaging
from the courthouse records so I could print off copies
instead of paying $2.00 a page. When I click the
printable tiff option all that comes up is a little TINY
square in the left hand corner with a little circle,
triangle and rectangle in it. I can view the regular
image option, but I don't want to print it and send it to
clients because on the left side are tiny pictures of the
whole document. If this is confusing, I will give you
the website

www.landaccess.com
Click on OH-Richland
Click on click here to start your new search
click on Book/Page
Type in the book box 677 and the page box 431
In the left hand corner you will see an Image box with 2
choices. I can preview the documents, but I cannot view
the printable tiff image. It is making me nuts. I know
many people with Windows XP that are having the same
problem. On my old computer I had Windows 98 and it
always came up fine. It would ask me if I wanted to view
from the current location or save to disk. So I was
shocked when I bought a brand new computer and could not
use it for work....HELP!

Which program are you using to view and print it. Most computers would have a minimun of 4 programs that could view this file
..
Built into windows there is MS Paint (which thinks it's 10" long), Windows Picture And Fax Viewer, plus Office would have MS Document Imagining and MS Word native graphic format is TIFF.

XP does not view (with its default setup) tiff images, but there are
programs that can. Do you, by chance, have a 98, ME, or a 2000 install disk?

I couldn't find page 431, but tried others as a test. The problem
is the tiff image is in QuickTime format, you need to let QuickTime
update its files.

Update: Unchecked tiff images in QuickTime through Control Panel,
click on "Printable Tiff (multipage) version" and can save or open
in Kodak Imaging (my default for *.tif). You may need to check
your association in File types for Tiff Images.

Good Luck,
Dick
