Hi everyone. Can anyone help me, I've lost the folders for Temporary
Internet Files, & History. How can I restore them?

Can't loose them. If they don't exist within the profile tree at
C:\Documents & Settings\'Username'\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files
XP will place the folder inside the Temp variable location. (Temp)
XP will also move them into the Temp when the TIF is redirected
to an alternate disk/partition and that isn't available when XP boots.

Surely you can drag any file / folder anywhere. It's easily done!

A search may reveal where they have gone, if they have not been deleted!

Just my penny contribution.

You can't drag system folders like TIF. If they're accidently moved or
removed, Windows simply restores them. But the TIF can't be moved or removed
by mere drag/drop. You need to go through Internet Options, or the registry
itself, or via a tweaking tool like Tweak UI, in order to change system
folders. You also have to logoff for the changes to take effect...

Most likely the OP has simply enabled the "Do not show hidden files and
folders" option in Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | View.

Other than troubleshooting purposes, why anyone would want to view such
folders on a regular basis I do not know. But all hidden folders are only
hidden from view -- they still exist and can be accessed by entering the
appropriate path or URL into the address bars of both Windows Explorer and
Internet Explorer.

Start | Run | Paste:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Click OK
and
Start | Run | Paste:
%userprofile%\LOCALS~1\Temporary Internet Files
Click OK

Start | Run | Paste:
%userprofile%\Local Settings\history
Click OK
