Thumbnails

when viewing a folder which contains Divx files, my PC locks up. I suspect
that trying to render a thumbnail for the file causes the problem. This
proplem has recently dusplayed itself, everything worked well before. Any
ideas?
 
You might want try this - Select "icons" in the View menu of Windows
explorer... then go over to tools click on Folder options, tab on View.. and
press "apply to all folders"... click okay. See if the behavior persists, if
it doesn't lock up you should be fine. If it does lock up there could be
something more complex going on.

Try deleting the thumbs.db file in that folder. It's a hidden file. It
will be recreated.

Sounds like one or more of the files has become corrupted.

Turn off thumbnail view for the folder and then check to see if all
the files play. I bet you find one or more that won't.
