I have always been able to get to Roxio.com and
Walmart.com, then one poof! I cannot. I keep
getting :This page cannot be displayed. I know
my options are correct because Roxio worked yesterday
and now today it won't. Walmart happened on
Wednesday. It just would not work.

I can get on other sites. Case proof I am on
this site.
What gives? I emailed them and they said to check
internet options, which are correct.

About some sites not "working", here's my entire spiel on the subject:

Go to Internet Options > General tab, and hit 'delete files'. Also hit 'delete cookies'.
Or if you're running an older version of IE, hit Settings > Show Files > select all, and delete
all.

Depending on your version of Windows, it can also be helpful to delete your cache folders in
MS-DOS, thus forcing MS to create new ones, containing brand new index.dat files, on reboot.
Start the computer in MS-DOS mode. If you're running ME, that means starting up with a boot disk
..

Type the following lines from C:\ (assuming that's the drive where Windows is installed), pressing
ENTER after each one:

cd windows
smartdrv
deltree tempor~1
deltree history
deltree cookies

NOTE: Press Y if you are prompted to confirm any deletion

Type win (or 'exit') followed by clicking enter, or do a "Ctrl-alt-delete" in order to return to
Windows.
in order to return to Windows.

NOTE: This is assuming the path to these folders is the default one
Is they're elsewhere/named differently, adapt the path accordingly.

If this is Win XP/2000, log in as Administrator, and delete the Docs and Settings\UserName\Local
Settings\History and Temp. Internet Files folders.
Windows will automatically create new ones on reboot.

Also do a search for a file called Hosts. It has no extension.
Possible locations:

Windows 95/98/Me: c:\windows\hosts
Windows NT/2000: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows XP: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Open it up in Notepad, and delete all entries in there, or at least those referring to the page you
can't visit.
Save in File, close Hosts file, reboot (even if you probably won't need to) and try again.

If still no joy, a number of people have reported that this was caused by improper DefaultRcvWindow
MSTCP Registry settings, however unlikely that may seem.

Go here: http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks
Test your configuration. Next jump to the "RWIN" section, and take a look there.

Or go to http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml and try one of the patches for
your particular version of Windows.
Always back up your registry, or create a restore point before doing that.

And take a look here:
