I get this message(This object has been blocked) on the the new browser
window whenever I try to "open" a new pdf file from a website online. OR
When i try to open an existing pdf file on my hardrive. I even tried to
download a new adobe reader and I get "This object has been blocked". I am
running out of ideas on how to fix it.and I have no clue as to why it
happened. Running XPPRO without benefit of SP2 as yet with ZA PRO, Nortion
antivirus, Pest Patrol

To solve your provlem, ( assume IE6) choose Internet Options from the Tools
drop down menu. Click on the Privacy tab. Move the Setting slider down to
Medium or Low.

I recommend that you not change the IE security settings, but download and
install Mozilla Firefox browser. Set to be your default browser and import
the IE favorites. Use the less secure IE only for Windows and Office Updates.

Information bar appears when you open PDF files locally in Internet Explorer (Windows XP SP2)?:

Thanks, but I discovered the problem/solution by accident. MY pop up blocker
was blocking all kinds of java script. Thanks again . ernie

I'm not so sure, I think it was Zone Alarm Pro. I have Firefox, an
ZoneAlarm Pro, no pop-up blocker, the same "This object has bee
blocked." problem, until (and only until) I shutdown ZoneAlarm.

Of course, this doesn't mean it must be ZoneAlarm Pro, and ZAP on it
own, it could be a combinaion... well, surely, as the computer i
nothing but a combination of systems..
