Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers
write code that humans can understand.

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!

Actually, it's made up of millions of little bits... :)

Kill filters work really well. 8>.

It's 16, sorry. A built-in feature of Windows downgrades the CPU capability
by half every time that question is asked.

It usually runs about 1000 a day - since the BLAST worm this has bee
more like 1500, rather less today so things *may* be quietening down

Gsv,
What Newgroups progam do you use for the kill filters?

Thank You.

My advice is as-is. It could trash your system.

GSV,
Strange
yours says User-Agent: Turnpike/6.02-M
Mine says X-Newsreader: Forte Free Agent 1.21/32.243
By they way your header is huge.

Just Curious alot of them say X-Newsreader.
Yours say User-agent

I guess each news program send different id signals.

Greg P Rozelle
Turnpike (you can actually see that if you turn full headers on). I
believe Agent can do it too (ISTR that 'Free Agent', which you appear to
be using, doesn't have all the bells and whistles though). Even OE6 has
some limited facilities. 8>.

Yep .. Turnpike does Mail as well as News (but =not= both on the same
message) which is maybe why it doesn't claim to be a Newsreader. And
half the X-header stuff is added by my ISP for abuse tracking. And then
there's the 'sent by' and 'reply to', on top of the from (which is spam
trapped). Plus the (proper) references line(s). All good RFC-compliant
stuff though. 8>.
