This is so weird !?!

Get this, the start button on my xp pro machine is soooo big that I am unable
to see the rest of the task bar. Even if I resize the taskbar, the start
button takes up all the available space!! I've checked all the settings and
parameters and everything is the same as my other XPP machine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are any 3rd party themeing or blinds apps installed? Have you tried a
system restore to a date right before the problem started?
 
There are no third party apps installed, I will see what I can do with system
restore.

Here you go...the green bar at the bottom of the screen is the start button
(or at least part of it) Someone should make a movie with this... " Attack
of the killer START button" Hahaha !!!

I tried the registry fix from Kelly's Korner but that did not help.

Hmm, too bad. And I saw the image file you linked. That is weird. Did you
try system restore? Otherwise, sorry, I don't have any other suggestions.
Let us know the outcome if you can.
