i have norton internet security. whenever i am online
with aol, i constantly get attacks, someone tries to
access my pc.

when i go to 'network connection', 'show all connections'
on my pc, i found new internet connections that i never
set up, and the connection that i use isn't shown at all.

how do i delete the connections that 'aren't mine'
my pc won't let me delete them because when i right click
on these foreign connections, the 'delete' isn't
highlighted. i've already 'disabled' the foreign
connections, but i still get the attacks.

please help

It is conceivable that software has been installed on your PC without your
knowledge. If possible, install and run one or both of these utilities,
which will detect that software, and give you the option to vanquish it...

Hi Len..

Zone Labs http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp Has a free firewall that blocks attacks, simply because you are invisible online. That will stop your attacks...as for the rest, I think you will have to go into safe mode with networking and log in as administrator to erase the unwanted connection

Good Luck

Jam;

The OP stated that he had Norton Internet Security installed, which
includes Norton Personal Firewall, making it necessary to install an
additional firewall like ZoneAlarm.
