I just had to let you know that this is one of the best newsgroups...
the people are knowledgeable and helpful and there are no trolls or netcops
in sight...

Other good newsgroups are the Microsoft ones.... you usually find polite
people there.

In comparison with other ones (I wont mention which ones), you find horrible
people there,
that have fun by insulting you, or get engaged in flamewars....

After seeing their style I left and wont go back...

I hope this one keeps this high standard....

There are those here also. Trolls exist in every lively group and some
may even say are what keep those groups alive!
 
This is one of the best newsgroups on the net. I used this newsgroup
for many years but I have been to this group in almost 2 yrs.

I like this group because I love using freeware software. I use
freeware audio players, & many freeware alternatives.

If you would know what I have been through.

You're quite right, but Betcops are everywhere. In any Usenet
newsgroup, IMO... getting e-mails, because I suggested a game fan-site
for an abandoned game in a posting, that he or she had/have this game
on stock for buying. Ts ts.. etc.


Only the author may bewail, or possibly the copyright holder, company,
executive. I don´t know more :-)

I don't reply to trolls like Andy Mabbett or Doc (who uses sock puppets)
for instance. No adware, cdware, commercial software, crippleware,
demoware, nagware, PROmotionware, shareware, spyware, time-limited
software, trialware, viruses or warez for me, please.

Some groups are full of idiots with way too much time on their hands.
This group seems to have almost none of that - but there are some interesting
threads:-))
