Is there an easy way of identifying what third party
browser extensions are being used by my browser (IE 6.0)?

Run "regedit" (no quotes) from your Run > Dialog box.
Navigate to this Key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions
