thinkpad compatable

I have an ibm thinkpad 385xd and got windowsxp for xmas. I can add 64 to my memory but don't know if this will be all I need to do to run the program. Can anyone help?????

You'll need at least 256 mb total memory, and 512 better for XP. Don't
know the details of this particular ThinkPad. Use the compatibility
tools at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/compatibility/default.asp to
check out your machine.
