What's so funny that you should fall to the floor Kurt?

OK so it might be a couple of years before MS get this to market, but
there is a fair degree of inertia in large academic institutions so if
they want to go via thin client (and it might not be a bad move for
them) planning ahead might be a good move.

MS already has a thin client product for business; MS Terminal Server,
and there is competition, Citrix. Both are in massive use in large
corporations. There is a comparable Linux thin client (diskless, ROM
bootable) configuration that I've seen in use.

MS has a brain-dead "lite" version of XP/home that is marketed in
parts of the world. The OP may be seeing references to than.

If you hadn't noticed, I snipped all the Thin Client stuff of his from
my reply to his post. I could care less about it, or MS's involvement
in it.

I note from the link Carey posted that:
"The operating systems are being designed to run on low-end PCs that
could be used for simple tasks such as data entry and as a way to access
server-based applications"

You can't, as far as I know, connect to Terminal server from a machine
not running one of their 'modern' operating systems direct from boot -
as you can with Citrix Metaframe. Sounds like they're going for that
niche in the market. Given that education often gets gifted with defunct
ex-coporate machines which won't run XP at all, and 2k slowly, it might
be a promising product for our market. I'd be interested in keeping and
eye on this.

Oh, I see, sorry don't find it funny. But we've agreed we have different
senses of humour.

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that! And I don't believe anyone asked
you if you did!
But we've agreed we have

Yep. You have the sense of humor of a Neo-Nazi, and I have the sense of
humor of someone that believes in the First Amendment!

Maybe I was already on the floor? Maybe I sank down to me knees, and
then laid down, before rolling?

From your previous posts, I'd guess that you spend most of your time on your
knees. If you're going to blow Bill Gate$, that's the best position to be
in. Unless of course you're talking about rocking & "rolling" to your MCE
box and I've missed your point?

LOL! While I'm on my knees to one one man, he has a message to give
you:

So how many in the Linux Developers community have you bent over for
now?

LOL! Yes, my point was that one does not have to fall in order to roll
on the floor.

How do you know he wasn't already on the floor?
