Thin font/lettering

Ever since i installed service pack 2, the font/lettering on my computer in
extremely thin! In word, on webpages and everywhere. Does anyone else have
this problem? Anyone know how i can fix it? I'm sure there is an adjustment
somewhere. It is just thin enough that it makes me squint. The letters have
a choppy/blocky texture, like each letter is made of little straight lines
stacked up,.. instead of the smooth round appearance they used to have.
Please help, it's driving me crazy!

You might need to get an updated driver for your video card from the
hardware manufacturer's website, and install it in device manager.
