the value you entered isn't valid for this field

We are getting this msg when searching for records on a form. Have been using
this database several years and suddenly getting this. checked database
design and fields are defined properly
 
It's probably refering to the value you entered on the search form. Compare
it to how the column is defined in the table being searched.

What is the datatype of the field you are searching?

Did you try searching for something you previously sucessfully found in a
search?

Post sample data in the field being searched and what you entered this time.
