The Size of the Help Window

Hello all, each time I start/open the help window, it
opens to one half the screen width and only the height of
the window title bar at the very top, about 3/8 of an inch
(9.65mm).

I can double click the top bar and it opens to a full
screen size. That is a hassle, and I want it to end.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to open to a
more normal size? I've looked around to find an options
menu that I can change, but I couldn't find one.

Are you talking about Excel Help or Help in general?

With Excel Help, I found the docking position against the left or right
edge most irritation, so I turned that off by dragging the Help window away
from the edge. Then I resized it to occupy most of the screen. Closing the
window in this state should cause it to re-appear always in this size. If
it doesn't, try to hold the CTRL and/or SHIFT key down while closing the
Help window by its Close button (the X in the upper right hand corner);
that works for me.

I grabbed the corner edge of the "Excel Help" window and
pulled it open to the size I wanted. Then I closed it and
reopened it to see what would happen. It worked, it now
opens in the size and place I want it too.

I am still curious as to why that didn't work before.
Previously I would double click the window to maximize it,
do my help search, close the window, and then reopen it at
some later time, only to find that it opened in the same
small size as before.

Oh well, now the problem is fixed, I am happy, and I can
go back to my Excel project!
