The Serial # is showing and not the actual date

For some reason, the serial number is showing and not the actual date. How
do I change it back to show the date? I have tried to format the colomns,
but it still shows the serial number. When I cllick on the number it shows
the correct date in the formal bar.
 
Try pressing CTRL-` (accent grave - on the same key as the tilde above
the tab key on a US keyboard).
