the revision level is unknown

Hi,

I'm having a difficult time with one computer on my network. I cant seem to
logon with a domain specific user account, but I can logon locally. When I
tried to remove it from my domain, I get the following error message " The
following error occured while attempting to unjoin domain. The revision
level is unknown". I removed the computer account on the DC, tried readding
it manually with no success. Has anyone experienced this problem before?
Reinstalling this machine is not an option. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

I saw that article, but how is one suppose to go about rebuilding the
security object? The article isnt that helpfull.
