The news option has disappeared from the GO menu and is not in the COMMANDS
LIST. Can anyone help me find it and put it in the GO menu? I also have
Outlook Express instaled and I can go to news by opening Outlook Express; but
this is not the way i want to go.

Have a nice day.

In the top right-hand corner of the Outlook screen, there is
a box "Type a question for help".

Type in "news" and press ENTER.

See the article: "Start the newsgroup reader".

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |

Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If

OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch

it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No

button.

Click on View > Toolbars > Customize

Click on the "Commands" tab

Under "Categories," click "Go"

Scroll down to see "News"

Click on News and drag it up to your toolbar

Note that Outlook uses Outlook Express with email disabled to read News.

Thanks this worked well; but I now have 2 News options in Outlook: Still; 2
is better than none!!

Yo might be able to customise your menu to remove one of them. Right-click
on a toolbar, customise, drag one off.
