the netadmin can't solve this

I can't hook my vpn to the office anymore.
I get error 800. Internet Explorer wouldn't open the office website either.
I can ping the website by name and number.
I have a Dell hooked up to the comcast cable modem.
I have Xp Professional. SP2.
I can browse the internet.
The firewall was turned off to trouble shoot this.
I made another vpn connection, no luck. The virus scanner is current with no
virus's found, no spyware either.
I went to another coworkers house and made a vpn with login and password and
it worked. He has comcast too.
We tried PC Anywhere( because he made a way through the firewall and router)
no luck.
This used to work. The other coworkers don't have this problem.
Any ideas?
 
Ha Ha very funny.
We moved ur pc to a different subnet on a different network; without the
cable modem.
Works great. Call comcast to replace your cable modem.
