The message could not be sent

Using Vista Home Premium edition. AMD Athalon 64X2 4600, 2 Gig RAM.
Attempting to send a small email with a 422 Meg attachment. Continue to
receive the message:
'The message could not be sent.
There is not enough memory.'

I have no other programs running at the same time, just whatever processes
Vista has loaded.

Help, please
