I have this same problem. I do not want to get into deleting whole files and
moving things around. One comment that I read here stated that Microsoft was
going to have a 'fix' or release later this month. Is that true?

I would be happy to await that release and ignore the message as Steve often
notes here if that is the fact. Please advise. Thanks.

No one knows what Microsoft is going to do. They don't tell people ahead of
time.

You can mark it as read and then go to View | Current View | Hide read
messages and you won't see it.

I had the same problem and was able to delete the message after removing the
mail account it was associated with.

I'm NEW and I'm having the "can't delete" message when I'm trying to send an
Email. Using Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium. Can anyone help me?

TIA, Bill B

I used this link (very grateful for this util !) - one helpful hint that I
had to work out was to make sure to end the winmail process in the task
manager for ALL users running, not just the one I was troubleshooting (there
are two on my computer) - otherwise the functions remain greyed out until
this is done.

I am pleased to know that other are in the same boat as myself come on
Microsoft
--get us out of this problem and thanks to Pat for the info
