The memory could not be "written

When using Outlook 2000 to read newsgroups via Outlook express when I close
the programme I get this error:

msimn.exe - Application

"The instruction a "0x77f83aed" referenced memory at "0x009a4660". The
memory could not be "written"

I am using MS XP Pro SP1 and Office 2000 SP2 both up to date with updates

I would try repairing or updating OE. that error is an OE error.
