The intresting behavior of notepad

If you type and save the words "iran win via atoms" (without qoutes)
via windows xp notepad, it will be grabled and unreadable after closing
and reopening !
Any Idea ?

It's actually a known issue. Sometimes Notepad is forced to guess the
encoding of some text and therefore it comes up with a wrong result.

This will be fixed in a subsequent release of Windows.

Notepad is getting confused with encodings.

If you save the file and specify Unicode or UTF-8 in the save dialog the
problem doesn't occur.

It isn't "special text", someone typed in George Bush the other day and
it did it.
