Have you tried it Alias or are you just repeating hearsay?

Your not actually a Vista user with any experience of Windows Mail are
you?

Um, read the article, you moron. The "update" also replaces OE for XP
SP2 which I do run. That said, I don't do MS BETAs so, no, I haven't
tried it. I have, unlike you, researched it, as the above link confirms.
Do you just mindlessly download MS BETA programs without researching
them first?

BTW, Windows Mail is not under discussion here except that the BETA
replaces it due to the flaws Windows Mail has. Read the article and
then, maybe, you can contribute an intelligent comment.

So that's a "no" then. (with a lot of bluster and bullshit.)

It is not your perrogative to dictate what is being discussed here.

For anyone familiar with Windows Mail
http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas
is a Great Leap Forward so...

Alias...drop dead you POS!

And I would advise others to say "no" until it's out of BETA. And, even
then, I would wait to see what happens to people like you who rush out
and take the "Great Leap Forward".

It is not your perrogative [sic] to dictate what is being discussed here.

Never said it was. I was just informing you that you were changing the
subject, vainly hoping that you would understand what was really being
discussed.

No need to get your panties all in a twist about it. If you do MS BETAs,
take the "Great Leap Forward" and come back and tell us all about the bugs.

windows live mail (the new beta) does not replace OE....
Both work on XP....

I know. I read the article :-)

The BETA just replaces OE in the start menu and the quick launch.

Hi All,

An interesting article.
I'm not a fan of Windows Mail ( as yet ) so any improvement would be a good
one as far as I am concerned. I might download it just to do some guinea
pigging and report on what I find.

Thanks for the link, Alias. Sounds like a beta to me <g>. The other two
mentioned, the Live Messenger and Live Writer, sound like they're worth
taking a look at. Since I use Outlook for email, the Live Mail holds no
interest for me.
