In word 2003, I made a .dot document to start up with, the font of the page
header is verdana, and in my computer it works correctly. While when I move
the document into another computer that has already installed the font name
verdana, the font of page header changed to times new roman. Why?
Can I lock the font of page header so that it won't be changed when I move
it into another computer?
Thanks.

Probably, in your document, under Tools > Templates and Add-Ins the box to
update styles is checked. This should almost never be checked.
