When I try to save a file that I have adjusted with a new name I get the
following message: The folder "name" isn't accessible. The folder may be
located in an unavailable volume or protedted with a password. I have been
saving files like this for years. What's up?

Did you include a backslash (or forward slash) in your name. Maybe
excel/windows saw that as another folder instead of the name of the file.

Is the file stored on a network, and have you just had a Windows update in
february?

Just seeing a lot of similar posts in the last couple of weeks.

My computer tech people tell me this is a problem with a recent update.
Apparently this is showing up since the latest update.

I have found the problem. The windows update KB885250 which happened around
the middle of Feb is the problem. Hopefully there will be a fix on the way.
