The evil taskbar!

Jay M.

For some freakish reason, I no longer see the programs in my taskbar. I
belive the quick launch toolbar is over so far and I cant make it smaller
(the size bar on the right is gone). If I remove it (like if I de-select it
or drag the to the desktop) from the task bar, the whole bar disapears and
refuses to show.

Thank you,

JJM

Right click on the task bar..properties..and uncheck lock the task bar and
you can size the quick launch.

Hi Jay,

I have a number of icons in my 'Quick Launch' as well as in my system tray (obviously not as many as you . . . but a lot). I
have a double height toolbar, and I can see everything on my toolbar at once (I use a HP Pavilion zd7010us with a WXGA display
which helps).

You might want to decide if you really need everything that is currently in your 'Quick Launch' toolbar. A lot of programs
automatically install to the 'Quick Launch' toolbar. I try to keep only tools that I use through the day and that can not be
loaded into the system tray there.

Ciao . . .

Hi Jay,

I looked at your attachment, and you only have a few things in your 'Quick Launch' tool bar. I think it is a Windows error. I
would increase the height of the taskbar until you get the resize bar. I have not seen this error before, so I don't know what
else to suggest.

BTW, it is considered bad form to send attachments to a text only news group. When you want to show something to the group, it
is recommended that you post it to your web site then include a link to the page in your message.
