The Dame was Loaded

I bought a video game called "The Dame was Loaded" and I can't get it to install. When I go to the CD ROM drive and click on install.exe a window opens with all black inside. Then the window expands and disappears and the screen is filled with all black. The game is an an old one made in 1996 during the time of windows 95. How do I get it to install and run on XP?
 
Try compatibility Mode.
Right click the icon.
Click Properties
Click Compatibility tab
Go from there, you may have to try a few different settings.
Otherwise contact the game manufacturer, it may not be compatible with
Windows XP at all.

1. Open XP's "Help and Support" program.
2. In the Search box type: COMPATIBILITY , and hit enter.
3. Click on the topic titled: "Getting older programs to run on Windows XP".

Compatable Wizard might work. XP is not dos based as is the game.
Buy games that are designed for XP . Jym
