that worked: change from Verdana to Arial

In global settings, like you instructed, I changed the Icon font from
Verdana to Arial.

Next, in Windows Mail I changed "mark as read after" .. "2 seconds".

These 2 changes made the difference.

I always set that to 0 seconds.
