Since my original post and your answers are now 12-13 pages back, didn't feel you should have to hunt for your Thank You - re: How to find out if Updates are really there... Pity on a NOT tech expert user..
Will try to make your suggestions work for me. I very much appreciate your taking the time to reply. Thanks again
