Did changing the server to mail.bellsouth.net fix your problem? It is
helpful if you acknowledge what fixed it, so we know what to tell the next
person who has that same problem.

No. Windows Mail is the only email program included on the
Vista install DVD. Apparently it is a bit of a political football
at this point, in that MS does not want to openly admit that
it made a mistake releasing Windows Mail before it was ready.
