what are the ramifications of removing this executable? I
do not have email setup on this machine, nor ftp, nor
telnet. Browser only with no personal info setup within
browser. Firewall exists via cisco router which allows
response to outbound requests only. Yet without any
internet software running, W32.Spybot.Worm is detected by
Norton. Norton points to tftp.exe.
Guests not allowed on comptuer
Have already turned off all services not needed.
Do not want computer sending out requests automatically,
have turned off all scheduled tasks. To the best of my
knowledge nothing is setup to send requests to internet
without human intervention.
Want to delete tftp.exe, but need to know ramifications first.
 
beside removing tftp you should clean the system
thouroughly. tftp is often implanted in order to load
other files onto the system.
