Textbox rotation

I am trying to rotate a texbox.

In the format textbox there is a rotation spin button but I cannot enable it, as it remains greyed out. Can anyone help me as to what I have to do to enable this field?

Text boxes cannot be rotated. You can rotate the text in a text box by 90
degrees right or left. That's it. For any other angle, you have to use
WordArt. Or Publisher, which can free-rotate text boxes.

did you ever get an answer to this question. I am trying to do the same thing. I can rotate an image but not a text box
