I am writing a large document and when I try insert words in the middle of a sentence, the new types through the sentence rather that being inserted in between words where I need it?? Has anyone encoutered this before? Is there a way I can stop this from happening

Example: John walked down to the shop to buy milk

If I wanted to insert the words "wanted to" in between 'John' and 'walked' the sentence would end up looking like this

John wanted toown to the shop to buy milk

Thanks in advanc

I assume your problem exists in Microsoft Word, in which case, you should
direct all queries about that product to the Word newsgroups. This newsgroup
is dedicated to Microsoft Access, the database product.

In any case, press the [Insert] key, to turn OverType mode off.

Hello! This is a newsgroup about Microsoft Access, the database program.
However, I can suggest that you look on your keyboard for a key labeled
"Insert". If your cursor is currently overwriting text, pressing this key
will change the cursor to one which inserts new text within existing text
and vice versa...
