Trying to open/convert a text file to Excel. Wizard is

Good question,is the PC plugged in

What is the file's extension?
If it's a comma separated value file (.csv in USA version), have them rename it
to .txt.
If it's not a .csv file, then what version of excel is your client using?
(maybe it'll help spark an idea--I got nothing.)
