text formfield and REF

hi

i've got a text formfield and a REF field referencing the text
formfield in my footer.

i've hidden the textformfield. my problems is the that the REF field is
also hidden. it seems formatting is copied to the from the referenced
to the referencing field

how to overcome this?

In order for the REF field in the footer to display the content of the form
field, you need to run a field update macro on exit from the form field. You

Appy the \* CharFormat switch to your REF field. The format of the
result will be the same as the format applied to the R in REF.

e.g., { REF Text1 \* CharFormat }
