Ok.. here's a hard one i really can't figure out....

I have a report i am writing. Lets say on page 5 I have some text, and on page 6 I have pictures. When I type new information on page 5, it is shifting my pictures on page 6. How would I stop that from happening? Is there a way to lock pages???

Hi David,

I'll take a flying guess at this...

In order to get the pictures on page 6 originally, did you fill the bottom
of page 5 with empty paragraph marks? If so, then adding more text to page 5
is pushing some of those paragraph marks onto page 6, which pushes down the
paragraph marks that were already on page 6.

If the properties of the pictures (in Format Picture > Layout) include text
wrapping other than "In line with text", and clicking the Advanced button
shows "vertical position: Absolute xx below Paragraph" and a check mark on
"Move object with text", then the moving paragraph marks will carry the
pictures along with them.

To change this, you can (a) set the position relative to the page instead of
the paragraph or (b) uncheck the "Move with text" option or (c) (the best)
mark the first paragraph on page 6 with "Page break before" in the Format >
Paragraph > Line and Page Breaks dialog, and remove all the extra paragraph
marks on page 5.
