Hello,

As you can see from the subject line I am trying to find a way to repair a
word document that currently displays small squares in place of actual text
in the document. The file reports the correct file size and when you open
the document it does not report errors or ask to be converted. The word
document was created in Microsoft Word 2000. This problem plagues quite a
few files in the same directory. I have found very little information on the
web regarding this specific issue and would appreciate any help offered.

Again, the text seems to be there but all that is displayed are uniform rows
of small little squares.

Thanks

Try changing the font to verify that the font file that is use is not
corrupted, or a symbol font of some type.

I've tried that and the squares on the page either get bigger or smaller, but
remain squares. I've been to this website http://word.mvps.org/ and tried
the suggestions on recovering the text from corrupted files. I get a blank
document, 0 in size whenever I try any of the procedures listed there. I've
opened the files also in different versions of Word, (2003, 2002) and still
the same result.

Thanks for your help :)
