Had to reinstall windows secondary to viruses/worms. Now all text and
graphics are rough around the edges instead of smooth. I've gotten on with
Dell Support and we've tried adjusting resolution and all the Display
Settings. Any ideas?

Generally, what you describe is a problem with the video driver. If you
have set the display to the default display resolution and the problem
persists, then remove the video adapter from device manager, restart,
and reinstall the video driver. Also, make sure that you have installed
any chipset drivers (if required) and have any driver updates from the
Dell support site.

After all that, download the FREE Clear Type application from Microsoft and
make certain you have font smoothing enabled.....

I did all that guys. I even purchased a new video card to no avail. A
friend suggested I reformat the hard drive. The only problem there is that I
only got reinstall software when I bought the computer, not the complete
versions. Any other ideas?
