I don't think that Google OS will compete with Microsoft at start, because
they are going for simplicity and usability. As I understood it will be very
basic and internet aimed OS

So for now I would not worry.

Yes, the Chrome OS is to compete for the netbook market. It is geared
to take on the limited Windows OS and the Linux OS that are designed
for the limited netbook PCs.

It will start with netbooks but will also be available for desktops and
laptops.

Um, Ubuntu is still growing as more people hear about it, use it and
like it. Windows is the one losing market share, no one else.

Google is FAR more predatory than Microsoft, IMO. The Silicon Valley Mafia
have never forgiven Bill Gates for "stealing" their rightful place as the
pioneers of the computer age. Google, Oracle/Sun, et. al. will do ANYTHING
to bring MS down and return the throne to its rightful owner.
