I keyed in "Temporary" in the Search box and it showed seven folders named
Temporary Internet Files. There's one for each of the four users, one for
Administrator, one for Default User, one on C:\Windows\Temp, and one on
C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings.
They have files inside them. Can I delete these folders?
TIA

These files hold the...umm...temporary Internet files for IE, OE and some
other programs. To delete them click Tools | Internet Options | Delete
Files and check the option on the next screen to delete offline content.
Windows will rebuild the folders as empty folders,

This method works only for the currenly logged-in user, and does not
delete the index.dat file, which can grow to a very large size. My
preferred practice is, while logged in as an adminstrator, to delete the
Content.IE5 folder from each of the other TIF folders. Then I log in as a
different user with administrator privileges and delete the Content..IE5
folder from the first user's TIF folder.

It's easiest to delete the whole folder. IE will create a new one when
it's needed.
