When I am on the internet and click to download something
it is copied to my Temporary Flolder/File but I have not
be able to locate the Temporary Folder to open what is
copied. How do I locate the Temporary Folder on my XP
Home Edition? Please provide the steps to locate or find
this as I have copied/downloaded several things and do
not know how to locate or open what was downloaded. I am
not very knowledgable with computers.

In internet explorer, Tools, Options, General, Temporary Internet-files,
Properties:
here you can read the location of the folder

Arnie, the best thing to do is to point the download to you Desktop. That
way you can't miss it. Typically when you download a file a box will open
asking you whether you want to Open or Save the file. When you pick save,
which I would always recommend" another box will open asking you where you
want to put the file, at that time you can pick what ever folder you want to
put it in, Desktop would be a good choice for you but you can create new
folder at that time and maybe call it Download. That way you'll know where
it went.

You can also go through Internet Explorer: Tools --> Internet Options...

then click the Settings Button under Temporary Internet Files, then click
View Files

Hi

The TIF folder has nothing to do with downloaded files. Where is 'Properties'?

.
The next time you download, write down the name of the
file you are downloading on a piece of paper. After it
is finished, go to Start/Search/files and folders and
type the name of the file and click Search. Now it will
find the file and also show you where it is located, such
as the drive (C:\), directory and folder. If you want to
change to where your files are downloaded, go to settings
and preferences in your ISP (Internet Service Provider)
browser.

Files downloaded to a hard disk/partition from the Internet have **nothing** to do with the TIF folder.
