I have been given a background for a presentation. I have
tried saving it as a template in C:\program
files\microsoft Office\templates\Presentation Designs -
where the other templates reside.
1. First I can't see my template when I try to use it in
a presentation
2. If i bring it into a new presentation it will only
insert the background onto one slide.

Is there something special about the Microsoft .Pot files
that is different than the templates I create?
I would really appreciate any help

As to this part, it sounds as though you made your changes to a slide in the
presentation rather than to the slide master view before saving as a
template. You have to do View, Master, Slide Master and make your changes
there.
