Hi
I have read all the help posted on forms in general. I thought this was what I needed, but isn't. I don't want form fields with a title next to a blank fill-in box, I just want a title which the user clicks (or tabs across to) and fills it in, ie. click on Name to fill in the name, etc. It is to be used for letterhead/invoice/fax etc templates for one user who has no wordprocessing experience, so they can, say for a letterhead template, fill in the name/address in a box or block which does not move, then type the body of the letter and print it out. Same for invoices and job sheets. Basically I want the main body of the templates to be fixed in place and some sort of field prompts showing them where to enter the fill-in information like addresses and product information.

If forms are not the best way, could anyone suggest which would be better? Thanx

Hi Caroline,

You can use formfields and simply put your prompt in as the default text.
Otherwise, you can use MacroButton fields, but the tab key won't move to the
next field, it will take the F11 key. To see how macrobutton prompt fields
look, create a document based on one of the built-in FAX templates and press
Alt-F9 to see the field codes. (Remember to press Alt-F9 again to toggle
them back when you are done.)
