Can anyone help with this issue?

There are a few items which I would like to keep in my
temporary internet folder, which I usually empty every
few days because it becomes so large. Is there any way I
can move those items which I wish to save to another
temporary internet folder from which they will be
accessible but unaffected by the periodic deletions of
the folder accessed from Tools->Internet Options->General
tab->Temporary Internet Files->Settings->View Files
->Temporary Internet Files? It takes way too long to
Crtl-highlight then delete all the files that I do not
need.

Thank you for your help.

Sara , just create a folder and move the temp files you want to keep.
You could name it Keptempfiles or
something similar. When deleting the files in the Temp Folder go to
View>Select All and while holding
the Ctrl button down deselect the highlighted ones you want to keep.
Delete the highlighted ones and
then the leftover files repeat the process except choose cut and paste
in New Folder.

Why don't you just make a new folder in your My Documents folder and
call it something like "internet stuff to keep" and save your files
there? Then you don't have to worry about them being deleted.

Thanks! That worked perfectly.

Dear Malke,

Thank you for your response. I will do as you suggest.
This is all rather new to me, so I sincerely appreciate
the advice on an issue which may seem rather elementary.

You should not feel badly about asking an "elementary" question. That is
why these newsgroups exist. I, and all the other regulars, would rather
you asked so you learned and therefore had a nicer computing
experience. You might consider getting yourself a book like "Windows XP
For Dummies". This series has a dreadful name, but is actually quite
good and useful.

Please don't hesitate to ask your questions!

Have a lot of fun,

Malke
